    New Zealand Social Statistics Network

Based within COMPASS Research Centre at The University of Auckland, NZSSN aims to assist in the development of quantitative social science research in the academic, government and private sectors. NZSSN's intent and activities are based on those of the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated (ACSPRI).

Our main activity is offering short courses in research methods & technology – we have held Summer Programmes of short courses each year since 2006, the last having finished in February. Unfortunately, new plans for developing a Winter Programme have had to be shelved for this year. We expect to offer courses as usual in the 2011 summer, and hope that that will be followed by our first winter effort. The courses we ran in February 2010 are listed below with links to further information. For administrative details click Short Courses at the top of the page.
