Dr Wayne Stewart

Senior Tutor
The University of Auckland

Wayne Stewart started his teaching career as a mathematics high school teacher after obtaining a BSc in Maths and Physics (UoA) and spent some time in the USA and NZ teaching in public and private schools.

He then returned to The University of Auckland and studied statistics and ancient Greek, obtaining a BA and an MA(Hons) in ancient Greek language.

He completed his PhD in Bayesian local sensitivity analysis in 2007 and has since been mainly involved with teaching undergraduate statistics at The University of Auckland.

His main interest is in teaching classical statistics and developing a Bayesian undergraduate course in introductory Bayesian statistics (STATS 331).
