About NZSSN

The New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN) assists in developing social science research in the academic, government, and private sectors, following the model of the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated (ACSPRI).

NZSSN has been running short course programmes covering social research methods and statistics, each year since 2005. We currently aim for a programme in Wellington each November and a programme in Auckland each February. Courses involving statistical software are now running online only, to avoid licensing issues; other courses are running in person only. We currently have no plans to introduce a hybrid model for courses.

Courses run based on there being sufficient enrolments; please see the details of courses we offer, and our fee structure, below. If you want to be kept informed about NZSSN's activities, please email nzssncourses@auckland.ac.nz.

NZSSN's activities are administered through COMPASS Research Centre at the University of Auckland, but please note that courses carry no university accreditation. Enrolments are managed by the University's Public Programmes.
